52 Pick-Up: www.52pickupvideos.com

52 Pick-Up is a series of videos made by anyone who is up for the challenge of making one video a week for 52 weeks straight.

52 Pick-Up is a video production challenge. Equivalent to drawing a sketch-a day or writing a page-a-day, it's an exercise in endurance to get the juices flowing with a quick deadline that can be used as an excuse for both brilliance and failure. 52 Pick-Up is meant to stimulate and challenge, excite and ignite viewers and participants alike about video, different ways of working, diverse points of view, and having bragging rights and the goods to go with having made one video a week for an entire year.

It's like a Master Cleanse for Video Makers.

52 Pick-Up began the first week on January, 2009. YOU can start anytime.
Contact dayna(at)52pickupvideos.com if you would like to participate.

Rules:

Make one video for 52 weeks straight
Weeks start on Sunday, and end on Saturday.
You can start any time of the year and participate for as long as you like; ideally, you're committing to 52 weeks straight.
You do not need to upload your videos here to participate, but if you would like to, email dayna(at)52pickupvideos.com to make this happen.

Start Date
Regardless of your inital start date, your first video will be uploaded to the Week One grid, and so on. If you miss a week, then you will have holes in your grid. If you miss more than 3 weeks in a row, and more than 5 weeks accumulatively, you are done.

Videos can take longer than a week to make
However, for each week, you must submit a video by the end of that week. So if production on a given video is one month, you still must meet the weekly deadline and submit one video per week.

Substitute video makers
You can work in teams, or have someone "sub" for you on any given week, it doesn't matter how the video gets made, just as long as you meet your one video/week quota.

Videos can be any length
1 minute or less is recommended for server space as well as attention span and work load; keep in mind that 52 weeks = 52 videos.

If you know anyone else who might be into this project, Pass it on.
