Blade Hunger (video essay exercise)

Made at Middlebury video essay camp (Scholarship in Sound and Image Workshop on Videographic Criticism) June 2024

For this Multi-screen exercise, I used The Hunger (Tony Scott, 1983) and Blade Runner (Ridley Scott, 1982). With an accidental focus on the similarities between the stylistic approaches to these films and a hypothesis that the Scott brothers must have a bird wrangler, I wanted to compare how gender is differently mobilized in the death scenes for some of the main characters.
